Happy November Everyone! Hope you had a happy Halloween. Can you believe that it?s already November? I am amazed at how quickly time is passing.
Jade turned two on October 30th and what a big two year old she is! All the new skills she?s acquiring are neat to watch. She?s talking more and more each day. I can understand greater than half of what she says. Of course, a good deal of the time she is asking to ?Wa Tubby, wa tubby.? Which translates into ?Watch Tubby.? Her new favorite tv show is Teletubbies.
We bought her a wooden art easel for her birthday. We found it at Ikea and Jade loves it. We use it almost everyday now to draw or paint on. I try to leave chalk out so she can use the chalk board when I?m busy and can?t set her up with a project as fast as she wants.
Jade also got a few wooden puzzles for her birthday. We bought them with the money Grandma Lois sent (Thanks Grandma!) and they are lots of fun for when mom needs quiet time. ;-) Jade is still pretty young to do them by herself, but she enjoys me helping her put them together.
Nick is very happy with his job. The people there are nice and he?s doing most of the things he has wanted to do. This move has been very good for him. He?s working fairly reasonable hours and we?re lucky enough to get to spend lots of quality time together as a family.
I?m doing very well also. I miss being with my family and friends very much, but we have begun to make some new friends in the area. We try to go to a group called Mommy and Me every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It?s a lot of fun, and a great chance to get out of the house and socialize a little bit.
I still have a good deal of unpacking to do, but I?m just not going to worry over it. I?m taking my time and trying to find good ways to organize everything. I?ve never been that great at keeping house, but I might as well give it my best. I?m currently trying to set up a routine for our activities. I never thought staying at home would be this difficult!
There?s not much else for me to say right now, so I guess I?ll just sign off!
Love you!
Laura
